1891 census shows a George Spendlove. apprentice, age 18, b in Nottingham on the Vessel Matilda Calder which was berthed at the North Dock Seaham County Durham. There were only 2 Masters, 3 Seaman and two apprentices on board.
1901 census shows his family in Whitstable, Kent
Barge or fishing vessel? Any websites I can search on ?
