I am looking for any information at all regarding my grandmother,
Suzanne L. Barney, who emigrated to Quebec/Montreal
at the age of 2 years. The year would have been late 1870s-early
1880s, and the ship (unknown) sailed from Cork,
Ireland. She traveled with her parents (first names unknown) and an
Uncle and Aunt-the Tom McGeary or Mcgarrity
family. My great grandmother died in childbirth, as did the baby, upon
arriving in Canada. My grand mother was
then raised my the Uncle and Aunt, who migrated to Wisconsin, thence to
North Dakota. Suzanne married Elmer Brown
and they raised four children in Bismarck, North Dakota. My mother,
Ellen Irene, was their only daughter and Thomas
Henry, Robert Fay and Francis Dale were their sons.
