Miriam,

You can check out all the CORSAIR arrivals from Greenock &c. to Nova Scotia
here . .
Ships to and from Nova Scotia 1815-1838

Note too the 1827 arrival of the Government brig FORTE, from Newfoundland,
"forty masons (with their familes) for the [Shubenacadie] Canal."

In "Nova Scotia Immigrants to 1867" vol. I by Leonard H. Smith and Norma H.
Smith published by Genealogical Publishing Co. 1992. . . I found these Russells

Russell, Robert b. ca. 1790 ; to Pictou county 1831 (383 : 122).

Russell, Elizabeth wife of Robert ; daughter of Alex Craig ; b. Edinburgh,
Scotland ; to Pictou county ca. 1831 (383 : 121)

Russell, James son of Robert / Elizabeth (Craig) ; b. Scotland ca. 1814 ;
to N.S. ca. 1831 (383 : 122)

Russell, John son of James / Margaret (Douglas) ; from Scotland on CORSAIR
