Hi Marian,

Congratulations on your find. :-} The vessel was SIR EDWARD HAMILTON,
483 tons, Captain Robert Lundy. It was British vessel, ship-rigged and
seems to have mostly sailed from Hull, England.
Fully Rigged Ship

I found the details from the 1843 & 1853 Lloyds Register at Gilbert
Provost's website
http://www.reach.net/~sc001198/ShipsS1.htm
http://www.reach.net/~sc001198/ShipsS1.htm

SIR EDWARD HAMILTON – 1843-1853
Master: Captain R. Lundy (184-50); Captain G. Dobson (1851-53)
Rigging: Ship; sheathed in 1833 & 1848
Tonnage: 483 tons
Construction: 1800 in London; major repairs in 1831; new deck 1842; some
repairs 1848
Owners: T. Ward
Port of registry: Hull
Port of survey: Hull
Voyage: sailed for the Baltic Sea 1851 & 1853

Robert Lundy seems have been the Captain from at least 1832 to 1844 (into
New York). I don't know if you'll manage to find an image, but at least
now you are armed with all the details you need to be able to find one.

Good luck,

Sue
