You can find some information about the Bernardo Children's' system in the
National Archives of Canada where there are fairly complete lists of
Children being brought to Canada. That is not Australia but there just
might be a link.

Subject: [TSL] Seeking William Thompson, England to Australia

I am seeking assistance in locating the ship a William Thompson left England
enroute to Australia in 1913. The departure year is taken from a letter he
wrote to his sister
in 1935

His birth date was 9.1.1896 which would have made him aged 17 yrs. He had
been residing in London.
It is believed he landed in Sydney and came to Australia with an
organisation named "Banardo Boys", They have no record of him coming to
Australia

The only information I can glean from ships list is as follows

THOMSON Wm M 1913 London Australia Sydney VIEW VIEW.

The shipping lists in Sydney, Australia, are meagre in their description
of
passengers and it has not been possible to identify him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
