Hi Roger,

Over the weeks now there has been a series about the sub-continent of
India.shown on ABC TV - I think it is Sunday evenings -
last weekend they talked about the trade to England being spices, silk,
gold and precious stones (gems)

Check out the ABC TV website - they probably have past episodes onsite
for viewing.
