Subject: [UFT] Grouping -> new small project to try importing into TMG
Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2000 03:11:15 -0400
A few months ago, I finally began (with much-appreciated help from the
wonderful tutorial on the subject) doing my first-ever Searching &
Grouping. Almost simultaneously, we all learned of the lack of any future
development of UFT.
Since then, I ordered TMG; I read thousands of TMG-List messages trying to
become familiar with terminology & procedures while awaiting delivery; I
read the TMG Tips; and I of course continue to read my RUG-Arlington
newsletters. I've now received TMG & have worked thru the tutorial, and
begun studying the manuals.
I think I'm ready to try the good advice of importing a small number of my
UFT ancestors. I have successfully Grouped together 21 of them, who should
give me some good examples of how various things migrate thru the Genbridge
process. What I can't seem to grasp is: How do I get those 21 from the
Grouping saved into a new, separate, differently-named UFT project, so that
I can just import this one small "test" project?
Seems like I've seen somewhere how to do this, but among this flood of info
in the past few months, I can't find it. I realize it could be so simple
that I'll be pleasantly surprised, however, I haven't been able to "get
there" intuitively. Step by step help would be greatly appreciated.
