Hello Maureen
According to my records the William Cox (probably b. 21.9.1777) who married
Ruth Long on 11.10.1798 was the son of John Cox (b. 5.1.1752) and Jane
Bloundy (Blundy). John's father was believed to be George Cox b. abt. 1702.

Possibly someone else on the site could confirm or correct this but I hope
it might help.
