Please could someone clarify the subjects that this list covers.

I presumed it was for all UK newspaper extracts, but it appears to be
centered on Merseyside which is not an area that interests me at this time.

I have an ancestor who was a murderer and had hoped eventually that I might
find something in newspaper reports. Don't know really how to start looking
though and this list looked as if it might give me some insights.

If someone could clarify the lists objectives it would be really helpful.
