GRO Fiche Records - Indexes


Due to the recent relaxation of the conditions of sale, index
information over 100 years old can now be made available via the
Internet and a charge may be made e.g. for accessing a website.
However restrictions still apply to information less than 100 years
old.

All purchasers of the index information are subject to the same terms
and conditions. GRO has not given approval for the use of index
information other than that which is contained in the standard terms
and conditions.


GRO is currently seeking advice on what actions can be taken to
ensure that all purchasers meet the conditions of sale."

of the General Register Office Index data for England & Wales from Jan
1838 to December 1902 & a searchable database from 1902 to 1962
available research from the Internet.
