Dear list,
I have three generations of Watch/Clock makers in my family tree and
wondered if someone can help with the following:
A good source to gain some knowledge about Watch/Clock making in the
nineteenth century.
Can anyone help with the meaning of this entry from "Lists and Notes of
Bolton Clockmakers" which has been deposited in Bolton library -
LEE, HENRY134 Spring Gardens, 1843 - 1858, L/C
" "134 Bradshawgate 1886. Marine chronometer seen H/M Chester
1886/7 No. 81156
A long shot but does anyone have any other information about my
watchmaking ancestors? I've started up a page at
http://spartica.net/ancestral/FamilyHistory/Watchmakers.html
