Hello Helen
Sadly apart from what is on the site no I can't, sorry. There is a family history section on the site where I found a Diane Richard USA who is looking for a Mary Challenger. The link is Family History searches and is next to the Guestbook link in the bottom right hand corner of the home page of the site. It would seem the Challenger family came from Wrington originally. There should be some record somewhere. Tried Historical Directories? http://www.historicaldirectories.org
We lived in Burrington which is not far from Wrington for about four years, it is a lovely area of Somerset on the edge of the Mendips. We lived on the top of the Mendips and could see for miles. Most of Burrington is in the valley as is Wrington itself. The hymn 'Rock of Ages' was composed by the Vicar of Burrington while sheltering from a storm in a cleft of rocks in Burrington Combe, a place a bit like and not far from Cheddar Gorge.
Wrington is a pretty little place with friendly people. Did our shopping there every week. Was nearly forty years ago! Those photos on the site do Wrington justice. If you find yourself ever in England the area would be worthwhile place for a visit just for the scenery if nothing else!!
Wish I could help more.
Mary
