Are there any files from the Hill End Mental Hospital in St Albans Berks which may have staff names in 1924.
My son in law's grandparents both worked there as mental nurses when they married 15/11/1924 .. Victor David STREET was a resident nurse living there.His wife Florence Amelia LUNNON was living at 5 Coley Place Reading.
Victor David STREET'S grandfather was born in 1847 at CRAZIES HILL, WARGATE ,Berks which makes me wonder if the hospital was in existence even then.
Florence Amelia LUNNON was aged 19 when she married but the only birth certificate I can find was for a Florence "Lillian" Lunnon with the same parents for both it and marriage.To confirm her correct name I thought it may be on the employees list.
Are Crazies Hill and Hill End near by???
