Hello Ellen,

The Risbridge Union workhouse at that time was in Haverhill, having been
enlarged from a parish workhouse
following the formation of union in1836 - not sure if anything survives. Jan
has a little bit of information at

I don't think much in the way of local records survive from that period but
try
the Suffolk Record Office at Bury St Edmunds -
