Hi Listers. in the 1881 census I have 2 great great great aunts(aged 6 & 8) listed at "South Metropolitan School's Board" in Herne, Kent.
They came from Stepney and the Census list's all young girls from Stepney area as being there. Does anyone have any info on this place and why they would be there.
