Hi,
Seeing you have a Kelsey name on your list, I was wondering if you might
have my greatgrandmother Eleanor Kelsey. Her father was William Kelsey
and her mother was Eleanor Smith. She was born in 1873 in London,
however I haven't a clue where her family came from. I believe she had
10 older brothers, so they were very prolific.

Regards Bob Wood

Hello Mary
Thanks for your reply and the information about the surrounding
parishes.
Have already looked in Winterbourne Gunner and Earls for the baptism but
I
will try Broughton next as there were quite a few Kelseys there in the
1700s, and then the others.
The Kelsey's were very awkward living between two counties, my branch (I
think) were in Wilts around 1780s. It was the bastardy order that made
me
think of a poorhouse somewhere as I couldn't find the baptism.
Thanks again
Liz - Essex.
