Hi,
I noticed the names Kelsey and Smith in your message and it peeked my
interest. I have a Thomas Smith-Kelsey in my Family History but he was from
the Minster, Thanet, Kent County, England area. He married a woman named
Mercy Tong and had a daughter named Edith Ellen Mercy (my Great
Grandmother) who later became a Home Child and came to Canada. On the birth
certificate it shows that Thomas was living in High Street in the Minster
area and the 1881 census says he was born in Monkton, Kent, Wngland about
1855, you might try that area to find your Great Grandmother.
