Dear Nanette
I have not got any photographs of Springfield, but if you go to
http://www.mdx.ac.uk/www/study/4_13_TA.htm#Springfield
you will find a little history and links to the 1881 census and the
position on a modern map.
Best Wishes
Andrew

Hello All,
I was very excited when I found this list.
I just received my Great Great Grandmother's death certificate. She died at
Springfield Hospital.
Would there be any way to obtain her medical records? Is there always a one
hundred year ban on them?
I was also wondering if there were any old photographs of Springfield
(Surrey County Lunatic Asylum) eg. a website or a good book/anything else
with photos? I would like to read and see what life was like at this
asylum. Any guidance would be really appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Nanette Hall
