Andrew, Thanks for your email. I very appreciate your suggestions. I am
familiar with the Hunter and Macalpine book and had a quick read through "
A Mad Person's History of Psychiatry" a while ago. I'll go back to both and
let you know what I find.

I've been through the Board of Control records at the PRO and most of their
annual reports perhaps you could tell me in a little more detail the kind
of information that you are looking for and I might be able to help. The
records are a little thin - some of the were destroyed in a fire during
WWII. The minute books for the period I'm interested in have scorch marks!
