Hi Dave,
There was a huge TB sanotorium at Sandown (I think, might be Shanklin,
definiteley one of those two.) The grounds are now a rather nice botanical
garden (and the name completely excapes me at the moment) and the hospital
used to stand where the car park is. There are quite a few tails of ex
patients still wandering round the place. Have a look at the IOW tourist
info, it should have details of it there. Any extant records should be at
the IOW Record Office in Newport.
