There is a Polish website, sponsored by the Czestochowa-Radomsko group, that
lists Holocaust Victims and Survivors (from all over) as well as messages
that were sent after the war, and who the recipients were. As well the site
offers a general non-holocaust surname search. What's great about this
site, is that it provides a tremendous amount of genealogical information.
I do believe that this site offers tremendous value.
Some of you might say, BUT we're researching Chernigov. TRUE. As Amos
pointed out, some of our ancestors went from Chernigov to places like
Warsaw.
This list shows where people came from, and indeed does show some victims
and survivors who came from Russia and died or survived the camps.
1. Here's the name search to access Holocaust Victims and Survivors. The
site may take a few minutes to pop up. As well, the site lists "messages"
that were sent to relatives and friends after the war. So this might
provide genealogical connections.
