Galina's boss charges much more for searches (they all do them at the
archives) and she knows Galina charges considerably less ($100
non-refundable v. Galina's 15, etc.) She has made life very uncomfortable
for Galina because of this. There are a lot of petty jealousies and Galina
often has to bribe people to get the register books that she needs to search.
