Right, I sent that e-mail below yesterday evening because I knew it wasn't your fault - I think you might have clicked on something to view the e-mail your friend sent you (with the picture you said he/she took of you), or even registered to see it, but that is when the real culprit took over, which was the program (or whatever the correct technical term would be) which read your contact list and then used those e-mail addresses to send out messages.

I am sure everyone now knows it's not your fault, that nothing malicious was intended, etc.

Here is an article on this Tagged issue in Snopes - it's not a virus, it's
not quite spam, but yes, it's deceptive and annoying in how it generates
its
e-mail lists. I have seen a few issues of this lately, so Jane is in good
company.
