Hi,
I was reading your last message and I have been looking for a Thomas that was
with our William Wedgbar Underwood in the Cherokke strip. I scanned the book in
the Familytreemakers Genealogy Lib and found your Thomas and Elizabeth (Meeres?)
listed as being brought to VA with Captain Moore Fautleroy of Lower Norfolk Co Va
in 1650 no ships name has been found. Thomas paid for passage for himself and
Elizabeth (probably already his wife). They came with 81 others sevesral of whom
were Underwoods and parents; William Underwood , Gent and wife Mary. Their
relationship however, is suggested in an an aged manuscript authored about 1873
that was sendt to me by John Dobberteen of Michigan in 1996. It stated that
three Underwood brothers "genadiered" in the British army, came to America and
once landed, they separated. One went to NY another NC and the third to Maryland.

It goes on for another page or so but thought this might interest you both.
