Joyce,
There are numerous ways that your family name may have ended up in
Everton's data base and ultimately FTM. To name a few, advertisements were
placed in the magazine by authors of books on various personal family
histories. Another is that through the years, and especially before
computers, requests were made by Everton offering to store and make
available family histories for individuals that wished to turn in their
family group sheets to Everton's. Even another was there query pages where
researchers were listing queries for genealogical data on individuals they
were searching for.
These are just a few, and you never know what might be out there on your
family, maybe a lost cousin ! Its possible that someone on the list might
have the FTM Everton's disc that has your family listed on it.
