I am tracing the Bowman Family that settled in Burford Township of Brant County Ontario. I would be interested in exchanging information with anyone tracing in the same area.

I am descendant of John Bowman who settled on Lot 4 Concession 14 of this township. I have two dates for his land grant. First is April 25, 1797 and second date is May 20, 1817.

It is believed that John was the son of George Jacob or Jacob George Bowman/Baumann who served or was a minister of the gospel to the King's troops of the New Jersey Volunteers. Any help in connecting this family would be greatly appreciated.
