Chris,

Just took another close look at my g-grandmother Nancy Hetrick's Death
Certificate. Her last name looks like Oppold. Her son John Hetrick verified the
information. Another cousin, John's grandson, always thought it was Upole and I
had Uphold. More spellings to consider doing searches I guess. Thank goodness
for soundex huh.

Her death certificate says, that her "date of death" was November 19, 1915
but the undertaker that signed it dated it Nov. 21, 1916. The tombstone read:

Our Mother
Nancy
wife of
Conrad Hetrick
1835 - 1916

Still unable to find any information on Nancy and Conrad's emigration to
America. Their son Charles was born in 1860 and died in 1921. His wife was Sallie
F. Lininger 1868-1928.
