Hello all,
I am searching for anyone who may have a connection or information
regarding the GAULEY family of Canada. They were last known to be in the
Christeville, Canada area, which I believe was in the area of Sarnia. Mary
Gauley married my great-grandfather Robert Shannon who came from a long line
of Shannon's in the Grenville, Ontario, Canada area in the late 1800s. I
found a letter dated 1961 showing a woman's name as "Jeanette Gillie" who was
in the Carlsbad, California area. From the Shannon line, Mary Shannon,
married a man named Ed Gillie. They had a daughter named Mary Gillie, who
married a man named Daniel Gorman. Mary Gorman passed away in 1948 in
Saginaw, Michigan. My ancestors say they used to know an "Auntie Gillie" who
apparently visited them in Michigan, from the Sarnia area. I know this is a
shotgun approach, but all of these names are intertwined in my lineage, I'm
just looking for help with sorting them out. Any information anyone can give
me is 100% more than I have right now.
Thanks,
Kevin O'Brien
