Subject: Christopher and Frances CULP family - early Lincoln County, ON
Date: Mon, 7 Jun 1999 16:19:06 -0400

Hello fellow-listers:

I am seeking any information pertaining to the family of Christopher and
Frances CULP, who migrated from Lancaster County, PA, in /or about 1790, to
resettle at Lincoln County, southern Ontario, Upper Canada (now Ontario),
Canada.

Would you have any information on their family??

(i) Christopher CULP was born about 1747, possibly in Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania and he died December 19, 1833, at Clinton Township, Lincoln
County, Canada West (now Ontario), Canada.

His wife's name may have been . . .
(i) Frances GROSSMAN? (name uncertain) who was born about 1755 (location
unknown) and who died April 12, 1852, at Clinton Township, Lincoln County,
Canada West (now Ontario), Canada.

Their known children:
(ii) Elizabeth CULP - I have no information on her.
(ii) Michael CULP - I have a little information about him.
(ii) Mary CULP, b. Oct. 10, 1771, mrd. Edward BRADY.
(ii) Sarah CULP, b. Abt 1776, mrd. Jonathan GRIFFIN.
(ii) Susanna CULP, b.1777, mrd. Isaiah GRIFFIN.
(ii) Frances CULP, b. 1880, mrd. Thomas COPE.
(ii) Julia Ann CULP, b. Abt 1782, mrd. Simeon CLINE.
(ii) David (Rev.) CULP, b. 1784, mrd. (1) Margaret HOUSE; mrd. (2)
Elizabeth Ann ANDERSON-ELLIOTT.
(ii) Catherine CULP, b. Abt 1796, mrd. William HARE.
(ii) Jonas CULP, b. 1797, mrd. Mary HORNING.

QUERY: Do you have any information on Christopher CULP's wife, Frances? Do
you have any knowledge on her 'maiden name', or the names of her parents?
Would you have any knowledge pertaining to Christoper CULP's parents? If
possible, could you assist me with information on any of Christopher and
Francis' children? The family was actively involved with the Methodists,
while residing in Ontario.

I would very much like to compare notes with any interested researchers,
who may be familiar with this family.

Thank you,
Best Regards,
Gary M. Culp, U.E. <>
