Hello
This is my first posting to the list although I have been lurking for a
while!
I am trying to find information regarding Robert EVANS (b. abt. 1892
somewhere in England) who was a Dr Barnardos child in the late 1800s.
At some point he emigrated to Canada. There is a rumour that his
sister's husband Robert KING had a brother already living in there.
I found this information about him on the Commonwealth War Graves
Commission site
Robert EVANS
Private A/24132
5th Bn., Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regt.)
who died on
Tuesday, 26th September 1916 age 24.
Commemorative Information
Memorial: VIMY MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France
Could anyone tell me which town recruited for the Saskatchewan Regt in
WWI?
I also have some old photos with "Point Pleasant, North Atlantic Ocean
Beach" written on the back - can someone tell me where this is?
Many thanks
Regards
