Thankyou for suggesting that I submit the names I seek.
Elgin Co.-Dutton-Southwold Lake Road-George McKay lived there from about 1840-1907. His father died there in Sept 1852 (also named George McKay). George was married to Ellen Goldie(?Golding) who came from a large family. George knew Col Talbot. A daughter Agnes Ellen McKay spent most of her time in Dutton b. 1861 d 1951 buried at Alviston Cemetery. Her first husband Charles Fraser Berry died in 1936 and she remarried a Ronald Germain they moved to Petrolia. Another name floats around Foster .he may have been George McKays(Jr) uncle. Some of these were large families and I'd love to know more than I do. George kept a journal most of the information seem to be late 1800's-1912 names, goods bought and sold,weather-etc. .
