Looking for parents of Margaret Boyd, who was born somewhere in Ontario, January 1834. She married on 12 November 1855 in Genesee County, New York, to William Peel MacDonald, who was born 12 November 1831, near Aurora, Whitchurch Township, York County, Ontario.

He was probably the son of James "Jim Peel" McDonald/MacDonald and Leonora Newton who were living in Whitchurch Township at the time of his birth and they later lived in Peel Township, Wellington County.

This would be the area where young William Peel grew up and probably met Margaret Boyd. After their marriage in New York, they went back to Ontario where their first two children, Eva R., born 14 July 1860, and William James, born 1864, were born.

I have made a preliminary search in several of the townships of Wellington County in the 1861 census. It will take some time to finish all of them.

Does anyone have a Boyd family and a Margaret who perhaps you have lost?
