I am not quite sure if I understand your question.
Are you referring to the prevalence in 1861 of
families which were started at the end of page 10
and finished at the top of page eighteen as an
ezample. Could you clarify your question?

I'm unsure as to how to seperate families on the 1861 Ontario census.
Should I just assume that if it doesn't indicate a new house type, those
individuals are still within the previous family? I can't see any other
clue to use.
