Dear Jean;
for historical correctness, there was no Hessian soldier George Bloom,
this is the name he adapted, or for simplicity was forced to adopt.
His real name was Georg Blum, a Grenadier of the 6.Comp. of the
Hesse-Hanau Regiment Erbprinz. He was captured with General Burgoyne's
troops at Saratoga, and later deserted from prison status.
Happy New Year everybody,
John Merz,
