While researching at the Wellington County Archives this past summer, I
found a 7 page Register of Catholic records from the Guelph area on a
film labelled "District of Wellington, B/B/Burials, Marriages 1840-1858,
Roll #1" This 7 page register contained 6 pages of births for 1848 and
1849 and one page of burials for the last quarter of 1848. Following is
the page of burials. Please note that the register was very difficult to
read, being written in a cramped handwriting.
Please don't write and ask me if your ancestor's name is on the 6 pages
of births. ;-) As time permits I will transcribe them and post them to
the Upper Canada List. I will also place them on The Olive Tree
Genealogy pages for future reference. The new address for The Olive
Tree is
