I am looking for some help with a Ontario Marriage Bond I found for an ancestor. It states that"... Rosemary Higginson, dau. of Thomas [sic] Higginson of the same place.... Consent of George Higginson to the marriage of his daughter Rosemary." What is the reason for her having two fathers with the same last name? Help in understanding this, greatly appreciated.
