Hello everyone,

Time for another of my RESEARCH TIPS posts :-)

The recent question about Queen's Bush made me think that
many of us are not aware of all the settlements that began in
Upper Canada. I know I am not personally aware of all of
them, and yet it's very important to our research to recognize
these early settlement areas.

Name and boundary changes are also of vital importance, or
else we won't know to search Gore District records as well
as Halton County (just one example)

With that in mind, I did a little searching and came up with
some URLs that I think you will find helpful.

I hope that other subscribers who have knowledge of areas
I've overlooked will share that knowledge with the rest of us.
Offline and online sources are welcome, as well as books we
might consult for more information.
