The National Archives of Canada has an index to the 1871 Census of Canada
online (but for the Province of Ontario only).

Here's a link that I used and that easily found records for several Thomas
Coopers of approximately the correct age:

Note that I could not find the other family members in this index. Since the
1871 Census is "nominal" (listing all family members) and they emigrated in
1864, I would cautiously speculate that they may not have been enumerated or
that they were not in Ontario in 1871.
