Trying to find where my gg-grandfather, Michael QUIN/QUINN came from in
Ireland.
Michael was born abt 1826, where? He married Annie DOUGLAS, b. abt 1835,
where? Where were they married? By 1855 Michael (a shoemaker) and Annie were
living in Oakville, Ont. in a house Michael built, (it is still standing).
They were CE. They had 12 children and Annie d. 1885 and Michael in 1901.
Both are buried in St. Jude's cemetery in Oakville. I have lots of info on
their children and subsquent marriages. I have a hint that Michael's mother
may have been named Margaret and was possibly from ARMAGH, Ireland (she did
not come to Canada). I have joined the various lists . Still looking for
connections to Ireland.
