I looking for anyone researching the Kelly's of Northumberland County.
I have finally unearthed the maiden name of Rhoba, wife of James Baker
as Kelly. James Baker's, father was Joshua Baker and lived on the 2nd
concession, lot 34 of Haldimond Township in 1805. John and William
Kelly were listed as living on Lot 35, Concession 2 in 1797. During
1813, Joshua Baker and Charles & James Kelly are listed with the 1st
Regiment of Northumberland militia, on command to Burlington. Charles
is listed as Sergeant-Major. Officers of the 1st regiment of
Northumberland Militia lists, John Kelly as ensign and later as
Lieutenant from 1813 and 1816.
