Greetings from Massachusetts,

I am relatively new to doing family research and am headed to Kingston,
Ontario in July to follow up on my many leads. Before I arrive, I am
wondering if anyone could advise me on how to look up a birth in 1846 of
Anna/e Watson. I am quite sure that her parents' names were Thomas and
Fanny McLoughlen Watson and that they are Roman Catholics. This is all that
I know of these people. I am searching for the parents' country of origin,
occupations, any siblings, really, anything.

Anna eventually was in Frontenac County in 1863 when she married my
great grandfather, John Nicholson, who was Roman Catholic. Does anyone have
access to the 1851 census or perhaps church records for the 1840's? I've
checked the 1871 census but the Nicholsons had moved into New York and there
are several Thomas Watsons in Frontenac County. I am actually baffled as to
the county of which Ottawa was part.

Any words of advice would be gratefully appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Danielle Nicholson
