Hi
I have a question about land records that I hope someone can answer for me.
Are the land abstracts (the records of activity on a specific piece of property) available via interlibrary loan? Or do you have to get to the specific land office in person? I am looking for information on when someone bought property in Emily Township, Victoria County, probably about 1835 (Concession 3, Lot 19) and what activity took place over the years the family owned it. I have checked the Upper Canada Land Grants and don't find the name (McKague) so am assuming they were not the first purchaser from the Crown.
Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
Patty
