Hi everyone,

I have been searching for my ggrandmother, MARGARET WALSH, born somewhere in Ontario in l856 or 57. According to her death certificate her father's name was PATRICK WALSH, born in Ireland. Unfortunately no information on her mother.

I have searched most available lists on line for births and there are quite a few for Margaret, but none seem to be the right one. The problem, of course, is that just the Head of Household is mentioned. I had always heard they were from Prescott, but don't know which one, the city or the town. Margaret emigrated to Olyphant, PA in the early l870's but I don't know whether she married in Canada before she left or married (Charles O'Malley) in PA.

I was going to send away for a birth certificate but the application says it has to be "guaranteed" by a Canadian citizen. Can SKS please give me some idea of what to do now. I am really stuck! TIA
