Marie -

If you have any hope of getting help with your families you should put your
inquiries on some Quebec lists - the Frontenac you are referring to is along
the border of Quebec, (south of Quebec City) with the State of Maine. This
is very, very distant from Frontenac County in Ontario - which is the area
where the City of Kingston is located, where Lake Ontario empies into the St
Lawrence River.

Here is a map of of both Ontario and Quebec -
http://www.westol.com/~beaurega/map.htm - if you look along the Maine border
with Quebec you will find Frontenac.

Here is a map of the Lac Megantic area
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?address=&city=Lac%2dmegantic&state=QC&zipcode=G6B%202X4&country=CA&location=aE1wN4SZV2cI15SVxlWwEuCWvdkYIOieudNGRVmJKyD%2f8Pl6Kht1VMtbhzN8gR1v0%2fHWwprXURmayIE1cqk1CzAWbIXh2ibL0mRVr9fMV4asTDZrBuRleg%3d%3d

if you click the north edge of the map a few times you will see Ste-Cecile
de Whiton on route 263. The road curves to the right and goes toward
another turn to the left. Just before that turn is Ste Samuel Station (not
shown on this map) - perhaps where you think your grandmother was buried.

I don't see a Rootsweb list for Frontenac County Quebec but there are
several Quebec lists that would probably be helpful.

Directly to your personal email address I am sending scanned map showing the
district a little more clearly. Hope this will be helpful to you.

Good luck.
