Raymond Kenneth Wilber, 85, a Placerville resident, died on Wednesday, May 31.
He was born Oct 19, 1914 in Glendale.
Mr. Wilber lived in Hawaii and was a longtime resident of La Canada. Upon retirement form Transamerica Corporation, he moved to Palm Desert. In 1987, he and his wife moved to Placerville where both of his daughters resided.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Wilber of Placerville, and his daughters, Chris O'Maley of Placerville and Deborah Wilber-Parker of Ocklawaha, Fla., and his brother Jack Wilber of Glendale, and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
As requested, no services will be held. Arrangements were made by Memory Chapel.
Remembrances may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Snowline Hospice.


Madeline Rita Picard, 84, an El Dorado Hills resident, died on Thursday, June 1. She was born June 27, 1915, in Montreal, Canada.
She is survived by her son, Robert Picard of Alaska, her daughter, Eveline Welsh of El Dorado Hills, her brother Armand Raciot of Montreal, her sister, Laurence Murphy of Montreal, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, El Dorado Hills with Monsignor Kidder officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements were made by Foothill cremation and Burial Service.

John A, Tanko, 89, a Placerville resident, died on Monday, June 5. He was born on March 22, 1911,in Hibbing, Minn.
Mr. Tanko moved to Placerville in 1947 and started Tanko Well Drilling. He built the Mother Load Motel and the first apartment complex in Cameron Park.
He is survived by his sons, Gary C. Tanko of Auburn and Charles J. Tanko of Phoenix, Ariz., his daughter, Carole A. Dummett of El Dorado and his brother, Tony Tanko of Angle's Camp and Vincent Tanko of Sonora, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
As requested, no service will be held. Arrangements were made by Chapel of the Pines.
