WILLIAMS, Robert Burns, 78, of Seminole, formerly of St. Petersburg, died
Thrusday (March 28, 2001) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He was
born in Aberdeen, Miss., moved to St. Petersburg and came to Seminole in
2000 from Ormond Beach. He worked for 20 years for Publix after owning his
own grocery stores in St. Petersburg and Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was a member of
First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach, where he served as a trustee,
chairman of the board and lay leader. He also was on the church finance
committee and was a member of United Methodist Men.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara WILLIAMS RIDDLE, Jacksonville,
Beverly WILLIAMS YERBY, Seminole, and Betty WILLIAMS SMITH, Ormond Beach; six
grandchildren, Robert Williams RIDDLE, James Alvis RIDDLE IV, Heather Lee
YERBY, Rachel PEARL, Samantha Jane SMITH and Amy Elizabeth SMITH; and two
great-grandchildren. Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home & Cremation Services,
Seminole.
