Henry C. Dawalga

LOCHMERE –– Henry C. Dawalga, 72, of 24 Dublin Drive, died on Jan. 30,
2001 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.

Mr. Dawalga was born May 3, 1928, in Chelsea, Mass., the son of Michael
and Sophie (Oczkowska) Dawalga. He moved to Lochmere 23 years ago from
Hudson.

He worked for Shattuck Rugs in Nashua for 20 years and for nine years he
worked for Floor Show in Lochmere. He also was an escort for five years
for Gadabout Tours in Lochmere.

Mr. Dawalga was a member of the Wiseman’s Club of Nashua; a member and
auditor of the Polish-American Club of Nashua; and was one of the
founders of Cub Scout Troop 252 of Hudson.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dorothy M. (Lussier) Dawalga of
Lochmere; three sons, Mark H. and Dennis H. Dawalga, both of Lochmere,
and Michael D. Dawalga Sr. of Sanford, Maine; and a daughter, Christine
A. Rountree of Amherst; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Justin, and Lance
Dawalga, all of Lochmere; Jason Roy of Amherst, Amy Gary of Sanford,
Maine, and Michael Dawalga Jr. and Eric Dawalga, both of Sanford, Maine.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon in the
Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St.,
Laconia.

At 1 p.m. on Thursday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main St., Belmont. Burial will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norris Cotton
Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
