Perley F. Laraway

BELMONT — Perley F. Laraway, 77, of 33 Turkey Drive, died at his home on
Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001.

Mr. Laraway was born Sept. 4, 1924, in Williamstown, Vt., the son of Jay
and Erma (Horner) Laraway.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In 1986, he moved to Belmont from Laconia where he was a longtime
resident. He was a truck driver for Dutile’s Oil Co. and then worked for
the City of Laconia as a heavy equipment operator for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Della L. (Weeks) Laraway of Belmont; two
sons, Roger J. Laraway of St. Albans, Vt., and Robert F. Laraway of
Sanbornton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several
nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by a brother, Giles E. Laraway in 1997.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, from 7-9 p.m. at the
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at the
family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, with military honors. The Rev.
George Hankins-Hull, chaplain at the Lakes Region General Hospital, will
officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health &
Hospice, Inc., 780 N. Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.
