David Samuelson said in pertinent part as follows:
"That book by Christina Schaefer "Guide to Naturalization Records" is
so out of date already. I had to check catalog for the latest
additions that aren't listed in her book."
I agree it is outdated, having been copyrighted in 1997 My copy was part of
the 4th printing in 1999, which is not, admittedly, a later revision. But
that doesn't detract from the fact that the book has a wealth of information
about naturalization records, many of them NOT filmed at the time of the
book, but available in the original if you know where they repose.
Neither does later filming of earlier unfilmed records detract from the
book's worth, so long as readers are as perspicacious as David is and do not
believe everything they read, but instead look further (as he did) to find
the latest filmed records.
