Here's a note that was posted to the Admin account at USGenWeb. I
know some of the states have maps, but is there a "best"
implementation that we could all link to?

Hello.

Please accept my apologies if this isn't the correct forum for making
suggestions... I have searched several GenWeb sites and have an idea
that I believe would make the sites, in general, more useful to the
beginner.
If this idea has been put into use on one of the states, I apologize, I
haven't looked at them all. My idea is this. Why not put a map page,
such as the country map on the US page, on each of the individual states
sites'. Each state seems to have a county listing, showing formation,
coordinator name, etc. Why not have a map of the state, with the
counties outlined and labeled. It may provide the beginners with an
understanding of migration patterns, give them a clue in order to search
a neighboring county for ancestor records, etc. I've searched several
mapping sites, and haven't been able to find anything to fit my needs.

Just a thought.
